INTERN/RESIDENT/FELLOW PROCEDURE FOR APPLYING
Application Instructions and Requirements
All 4th year medical students applying for osteopathic internships and residencies should apply to program(s) of their choice via ERAS®. In addition, anyone applying to our fellowship programs should apply through ERAS.
A rotation at McLaren Oakland is suggested, but not a requirement for internship/residency/fellowship application.
Students interested in Orthopedic Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Anesthesiology, Internal Medicine and ENT are strongly encouraged to rotate at McLaren Oakland.
An interview will be scheduled AFTER the application is received from ERAS.
The application may be submitted anytime before October 1st of the year prior to the desired contract year.
A completed application for internship/residency consists of the following:
- The completed application form.
- Minimum of three (3) physician reference letters
- Reference from Dean of Medical School
- Medical School Transcripts
- National Board Scores
- CV
- Personal Statement
A completed application for fellowship consists of the following:
- The completed application form.
- Minimum of three (3) physician reference letters
- Reference from Dean of Medical School
- Reference letter from Director of Medical Education
- Medical School Transcripts
- National Board Scores
- CV
- Personal Statement
APPLICATIONS FOR THE DERMATOLOGY RESIDENCY WILL BE ACCEPTED THROUGH ERAS ONLY. In addition, the Dermatology Residency Program is not linked to an internship. Please apply to the McLaren Oakland/Botsford Dermatology Residency through ERAS in July of your internship.
