McLaren Macomb is one of only three hospitals in Michigan to have earned Heart Failure Accreditation from the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care (SCPC). To earn accreditation, the hospital underwent a rigorous evaluation of the programs for assisting and managing heart failure patients. The process requires that the hospital meet specific criteria based upon the recommendations of industry experts. From emergency responders through hospital discharge, the review process ensures that patients receive the most appropriate treatment methods to allow for an easier transition to the home setting, with fewer re-admissions.
