Injury Prevention and Trauma Awareness

The trauma staff at McLaren Macomb is working to keep the community safe and injury-free.

The department offers a variety of free educational programs that are conducted at area schools, organizations, or at hospital events.

Topics include safe driving techniques for all ages, as well as safety issues that are more specific to younger students and teens.

Programs include:

Balance Screenings to help people avoid falls

Bicycle Safety and bike helmet fittings

Internet Safety for elementary school students

Distracted and Impaired Driving programs that are conducted with the help of the hospital’s new distracted driving simulator

Alcohol Awareness

Personal Safety
