| Description | This program includes individual instruction, and is taught by Certified Diabetes Educators and other health care professionals. Topics include diabetes complications and how to reduce your risk, meal planning, carbohydrate counting, improving cardiac health, exercise, medications and goal setting. The State of Michigan Department of Community Health and the American Diabetes Association certify this program. Attendance requires a prescription or referral from your physician.
