Central Michigan District Health Department receives award

BIG RAPIDS – In partnership with the McLaren Central Michigan Free Clinic, the Central Michigan District Health Department (CMDHD) was named a winner of the Michigan Department of Community Health 2012 Director’s Award for Excellence in Local Public Health. The award was presented on October 3, 2012 during the Michigan Premier Public Health Conference in Big Rapids, Michigan to reward local public health departments for supporting public health programs. The Free Clinic was opened in January 2012 to help meet the needs and improve access to health care services for those who are low-income, uninsured people living in Isabella County.
