McLaren Central Michigan’s volunteers recently purchased $90,000 worth of needed items for the hospital.  Items purchased benefited many hospital departments including
Morey Cancer Center, McLaren Fitness, medical/surgical units, Family Birthing Center, Intensive Care Unit, Bariatric Services, and Rehabilitation Services.  Funds were raised through general sales from the McLaren Central Michigan Gift Shop; numerous fundraising activities including book, purse, and popcorn sales; newborn photos; and a hospital bridge group.

“It is exciting and rewarding for our volunteers to see the many ways that their dedication benefits the staff and patients at McLaren Central Michigan,” said Bonnie Vetter, director of volunteer services.

McLaren Central Michigan would like to thank its volunteers for the contributions they make on a regular basis, which not only help and comfort patients, but also ensure that future generations receive the highest quality health care possible.
