The Norval K. Morey Cancer Center at McLaren Central Michigan in Mount Pleasant has earned the prestigious, three-year Accreditation with Commendation from the Commission on Cancer, a division of the American College of Surgeons. Fewer than 30 percent of U.S. hospitals are accredited.
The accreditation follows on-site evaluation of factors such as data management, clinical services, research, community outreach and quality improvement. McLaren Central Michigan met all 36 of the commission's standard-of-care criteria and received special commendation for several of those.
