Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center, a McLaren Health Service, is currently accepting resumes from qualified candidates for the role of contingent Occupational Therapist in an inpatient care setting. The person in this role may assist with outpatient cases as needed.
Occupational therapy services include therapeutic excercise, therapeutic activities, custom splinting and bracing and other treatment modalities.
Hand therapy services available. Patient and family education is part of the care.
To be considered candidates must meet the following requirements:
Bachelors degree with a major in occupational therapy from an approved, accredited American Occupational Therapy program.
Must have current certification with NBCOT and State of Michigan Occupational Therapist license.
Primary Duties
Upon receipt of physician referrals for OT, responsible for scheduling and performing patient evaluations, treatment planning and implementation, discharge planning according to the principles, practices, standards of the American Occupational Therapy Association and hospital/OT department policies and procedures. Responsible for coordinating verbal and written communications with the physician, patient, rehabilitation team and significant others. Participates in Quality Assurance, Service Excellence, and Total Quality Management programs in accordance with the hospital and OT department guidelines.
