Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center, a McLaren Health Service, is currently accepting resumes from qualified candidates for the role of polysomnographer contingent.
To be considered candidates must be a High school graduate or the equivalent required.
Documented formal training in polysomnography preferred.
Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPT) preferred.
Registry eligible Polysomnographic Technologist, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) may be considered.
Active BLS certification.
One year experience in EEG, respiratory therapy or polysomnography technology preferred.
Primary Duties
The polysomnographer works under medical supervision to perform and evaluate overnight polysomnograms.
This individual functions independently to safely operate sophisticated medical equipment to record sleeping/waking physiology.
The application of recording devices to the patient, cleaning and sterilization of equipment and monitoring of polysomnograms are essential duties.
Polysomnographers must recognize sleep pathology when it occurs and respond with appropriate intervention to insure patient safety.
