For Physicians
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued guidelines for medical offices and clinics, to help minimize unnecessary risk of swine flu exposure to patients and office staff. Mount Clemens Regional’s H1N1 Task Force will be driving the hospital’s efforts, and will continually share recommendations with the hospital’s physician partners.

Does your office staff know what to do when a patient calls asking about H1N1 symptoms?  Do they come to your office, go to the ER or would it be better if they stayed home?  Share these triage algorithms with your staff to help ensure your patients receive appropriate and consistent phone screening and instructions.
