MCRMC's Traditional Rotating Internship is offered as a one-year non-linked program for those who are seeking a transitional year or who are not certain as to their ultimate career path. It is also offered as combined (linked) to residency in Orthopedic Surgery.

Rotations include:

• 2 months general internal medicine
• 1 month general surgery
• 1 month emergency medicine
• 1 month family medicine
• 1 month pediatrics
• 1 month obstetrics
• 1 month house officer and OMM/integrated health
• 1 month medicine selective (in-house general or subspecialty medicine)
• 3 months electives
  • For interns seeking residency training elsewhere, up to one month may be requested as an outside elective in Michigan
  • For combined TRI-ortho interns, 3 months of orthopedic surgery
