Externship Rotations

Each year, more than 250 osteopathic medical students complete clinical rotations at Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center. We are a base hospital site for Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, and The University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City. Our goal is to provide outstanding clinical training in a friendly, supportive environment.

Didactics directed specifically at medical students include Extern Grand Rounds and PCAC Educational Days, held jointly with Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital. Lectures are presented twice daily, and a variety of journal clubs are available. An orientation program is provided at the beginning of your rotation. Housing may be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Meals and pagers are provided, and students have full access to the Medical Library.

MCRMC offers externs 2-4 week rotations in the following specialties. Please note that rotations are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. We will make every attempt to accommodate your requested rotations and times.
