| Minimum Qualifications | Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center, a McLaren Helath Service, is accepting resumes from qualified candidates for the role of contingent EKG Technician. This is a 8 hour shift position, hours are 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. 2- 3 days/week and every other weekend days or afternoons. To be considered candidates must meet the following requirements: Completed High School Diploma or GED. One to two years of formal education or training beyond High School. Completion of formal training in EKG. Demonstrates communication skills to interact with patients and hospital personnel. Able and willing to train new graduates from accredited schools. Must have some typing, computer skills. |
| Primary Duties | Job Duties: Obtains and records EKGs at rest, during trauma situations and cardiac arrests. Records resting EKGs for diagnosis of heart ailments. Obtains and records patient identification. Explains the process to the patient. Preps the patient’s skin for the most accurate tracing. Reviews recording from each positioned electrode for clear tracing and deviation from normal. Transmits accurate records to the MUSE database for physician interpretation. Chart originals in the patient chart. Performs general maintenance on equipment and stocks supplies. Reports any equipment in need of repair. |
