| Minimum Qualifications | Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center, a McLaren Health System, is currently accepting resumes from qualified candidates for the role of Supervisor, Laboratory Hematology. This is a full time day shift position. The clinical laboratory provides high complexity testing services for all inpatient and outpatient areas. To be considered candidates must meet or exceed the following qualifications: Masters or Bachelors of Science degree in medical technology, and three (3) years training/experience in high complexity testing or Associates degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology and five (5) years training experience in high complexity testing and proper certification. This position requires a technologist registered as ASCP or equivalent. Must exhibit prior experience in a hospital setting. And have a strong hematology background. |
| Primary Duties | Under the direction of the Medical Laboratory Director and the Director and according to CLIA, regulatory agencies and good laboratory protocol, directs the development of procedures, protocols, personnel training and monitoring for systems involved. The main responsibility is to plan, develop and implement what is necessary to run the department with the assigned staffing and to maximize quality, efficiency, and productivity and provide technical supervision for each of the specialties assigned to the department with cost containment as a priority. This person oversees the operation of the highly complex laboratory services within the department assigned. |
