| Minimum Qualifications | Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center, a McLaren Health Service, is currently accepting resumes from qualified candidates for the role of Sterile Processing Operator. This is a contingent position with variable shifts. To be considered candidates must hold a High School diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in CSR and OR/CSR instrumentation required. Must have knowledge of use, care and simple maintenance of hospital supplies and equipment. Must have knowledge of basic aseptic technique and sterilization methods used in the hospital. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, microbiology, and medical terminology is required. Must be able to use the Central Service Technical Manual. Must be able to recognize a breakdown in the processing of sterile items. Should be familiar with hospital policies and procedures. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects. Must be willing to obtain certification (IAHCSMM). |
| Primary Duties | The Sterile Processing Operator is responsible for the preparation, processing, distribution, and retrieval of all instruments, trays, equipment, and supplies necessary for quality patient care. Maintains daily records of where sterile items and equipment are being used. |
