"My mother was brought to the emergency department yesterday. The Nursing Assistant (male) made my mother very comfortable by using pillows and getting her in a position where she was very comfortable. He was incredible. The nurses were extremely helpful too. Dr. Hall listened to all our concerns and answered our questions. This was an awesome visit."
"I was in the ED yesterday and want to compliment two staff people. Walter was my RN; Adam PCA who drew my blood - both were wonderful, attentive, checked on me often and were very good to me. They were very good at explaining everything they were doing. I cannot thank them enough."

My husband was a patient at McLaren Bay Region in February. I want to let you know that while he was there, we feel he received excellent care. I am aware that most facilities are quick to hear the bad and often the good gets lost in the shuffle.
From Mike in the ER on the 4th to Jay and Jeff in the neuro ICU to Sandra Laura OT and Jaicy Hrinik PT, the staff were great and did not hesitate to explain what was going on at every step of the way. The girls on 6 were awesome too. When he was admitted we were told stroke and then seizure. His blood sugars were out of control. Not once did we feel we were not being updated on his condition and care or being left out in any way. The staff were professional and courteous and very thorough. I was impressed with all of them. Sandra and Jaicy were very friendly and made my husband feel at ease. Even the transport people were friendly and helpful.
Best of all, when we had to follow up with our family doctor on 2/8/13, they had access to his hospital records since they are affiliated with McLaren Bay Region. This made them treating him much easier!
Seeing your team in action, I am glad that we chose the family doctor and affiliation that we did. While I hope to not need your services again, I am glad you are there.
Dear Dr. Farmer,
Emergency Department
I realize this is an overdue thank you, but I still felt compelled to send it.
In March of last year, my son and I brought my husband to the McLaren Bay Region emergency room when you were on duty. He was experiencing extreme, severe pain in the lower left rib cage. For a long, frustrating seven months we had been searching for an answer to his relentless pain. We had even made many trips to U of M without results. But with the visit to McLaren Bay Region and with your dedicated effort and his admittance, we finally got a diagnosis. Not an easy one to accept. Stage 4 cancer in the fluid of the lining in the lung. But we finally knew what we were dealing with. Countless doctors had failed, but you had not let us down.
At that advanced stage, we were unable to find the help that he so desperately needed to fight the cancer. He passed away in December. It has been very difficult trying to cope with the reality of it all. I just wanted to let you know how much we appreciated what you had done for us.
May God Bless You.

I would like to say thank you for the outstanding treatment I received at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City. This is a long overdue thank you. While I was vacationing in Michigan, I was at your ER twice and finally admitted and had surgery at your hospital. Chuck my ER Nurse was exceptional. All of the doctors I encountered were excellent as well, but especially Dr. Thomas Markus, who performed surgery on me.
I believe I was in the best possible hands and can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Markus. Also, the nurses who took care of me at the Family Birthplace were truly outstanding and caring and made such a stressful and traumatic time manageable for me. Their names are Rebekah, Donette, Katie, and Lupe.
Also, a very special thank you to Nurse Anesthesia Laura Seyauer for her care. Everyone I met while getting tests done were wonderful, warm, and professional. I will ever be grateful for the care I received. Keep up the outstanding service. Thanks again.
