McLaren Health

Projects We Support

The Mount Clemens Regional Healthcare Foundation has a long tradition in being a leader in providing financial support for several worthy hospital programs and projects. Some of these have included:

The McLaren Macomb Medical Outreach Clinic (MOC). Patients who can't afford a doctor or have no medical insurance receive free assistance in the Medical Outreach Clinic, a customized van that makes weekly stops throughout the county. The clinic provides more than 1,600 patient visits each year to individuals who otherwise might have gone without medical care. The clinic is staffed by hospital residents, a medical supervisor, and medical assistants. Donations and annual fundraisers support the Mobile Medical Outreach Clinic.

In August 2007 the Medical Outreach Clinic began a Corporate Screening Program.  This program offers on-site health screenings one day a week to employees of area businesses

The Medical Education Auditorium. The Foundation also provided support to build the Antonio and Anna Catenacci Medical Education Auditorium, which has an adjacent conference room area and is located in the hospital's East Tower. The auditorium seats 115 and offers advanced audiovisual capabilities for physician training, special presentations, and guest lectures. Currently, more than 100 interns, residents, and medical students get advanced training in medical areas such as Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, Urology, Otorhinolaryngology and Oro-Facial Plastic Surgery, and Orthopedics. A suitable learning area was needed to provide the best training possible for these students.
